Costa Rican surfer Maykol Torres announced the creation of his own clothing brand called West.

The brand is inspired by his native Esterillos Oeste, the place of origin of the national.


West Apparel was created to support national talent and aims to have attractive designs for the customer.

Torres told us about his brand and here we share the information.

Tell us, where did the idea to create a brand come from?

“The idea of ​​creating my own brand came from seeing thousands of international brands with a lot of economic power that don't support national talent. I'd also wanted to have my own clothing brand for a while and gradually grow it so that in the future I could support the talents who need it.”

What products does the brand have and what products do they plan to launch soon?

"For now I'm starting with shirts for men and women, caps are also coming and the idea is to grow to make all kinds of clothes for all tastes."

Who is the brand aimed at and where can it be obtained?

“WEST is born from my hometown Esterillos Oeste, where I grew up and where my roots are, there begins the whole story of my life that I carry up to the moment WEST (west in Spanish).”

"I had the idea several years ago, thank God today I was able to realize that dream, and the idea is to gradually make it more professional and grow in order to help young people who need it."
