Jacó Impact, the recycling project that will manufacture surfboards from plastic bottle caps.

In an initiative to care for the environment and improve the impact of pollution that daily affects the planet with waste that in many cases ends up in the ocean, Jacó Impact, together with Karma Tribe, launched an initiative to use this waste and find a purpose for it in favor of the environment.

So far, they have been working with cigarette butts that are continually thrown on the ground without taking into consideration the great damage to the environment that they cause.

The company set out to manufacture a surfboard using cigarette butts collected on Jacó beach, a mission that was successfully completed thanks to the support of Vista Guapa Surf Camp and shaper Jefferson Tascon.

The recycling project will now seek to create a board with plastic bottle caps, which are also a major source of pollution in our seas.

The board is expected to be showcased at the Paredes Azules event on September 14th; however, to achieve this, support is needed to cover the costs of this project.

Jacó Impact is seeking sponsors who want to contribute to this environmental initiative and provide an amount of $40 in exchange for some benefits.
