Surfing Republica - Tencio Park gave its last Jam

Tencio will build another park and requires financial support to complete it.
Last Saturday, April 2nd, the Goodbye Jam was held, an event that commemorated the farewell to 10cio Park in the town where it is currently located.
This activity was carried out for that purpose and also to try to raise funds for the construction of Kenneth Tencio's new training center.
The event featured various activities and a large number of people were present to support the best exponent of the national BMX discipline.
Kenneth shared with us how he experienced the activity, as well as the evolution of the construction of the new 10cio Park.
How was the activity overall?
Incredible, it was the send-off this place deserved, a place that has brought us so much joy. I'm so happy to see so many people smiling and enjoying the event, because in the end, that's what nourishes us the most when it comes to children.

Do you think the objective of the activity was achieved in economic terms?
In the end, holding a fundraising event isn't the best strategy, as it involves many expenses, but more than the financial aspect, we believed it was necessary to have this event to keep the sport of BMX afloat.

How far along is the construction of the new park?
It's going a bit slowly; we still don't have the money for construction. We're waiting for bank loan approval, so for the time being, due to the urgency, we'll set up the park at my house to continue training while we gradually develop the new complex.
How can people continue to collaborate on the construction of the new training center?
We are making plaques to create an area for those who helped build the project. We are inviting companies and reaching agreements with brands that want to have a space with their name in the park. In the future, we will hold clinics and free days for the community, this to give back to the town and the brands that support us in this process.
I also want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has joined this process, not only financially, but also in any other way. I especially thank Materiales Villa and Toyota, who were the first to readily offer their support and trust in this new phase. I invite other brands to join us, because unlike other popular sports in our country, we face a much more difficult path and even have to build our own training centers. So, I welcome any other brands that wish to support this project.
Kenneth will temporarily continue his training at home, in order not to delay his preparation for international commitments that will determine the presence of the Costa Rican athlete in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
