Surfing Republica - Surf City El Salvador Pro Tour crowns the new continental champions 2022



Venezuela, Ecuador, Panama and Mexico are the new continental champions of the ALAS Pro Tour.

Four incredible days of excellent waves were the setting for the Surf City El Salvador ALAS Pro 2022, which took place from November 23 to 26 at Playa Las Flores in San Miguel, the Wild East of El Salvador.

Four categories were competing for important prizes and ranking points for the 2021-2022 ALAS Pro Tour Continental Circuit Championship.

Jose Joaquin Lopez from Venezuela, Dominic Barona from Ecuador, Kai Gale from Panama and Tzahui Poo from Mexico are the kings of the waves of the Americas in the Open Men, Open Women, Junior (Under 18) and Longboard categories.



Lopez totaled 13,406 points, while Bryan Perez came in second in the men's ranking with 10,381.

Barona added 6907 points with her result in El Salvador, which makes her mathematically unreachable, with the date in Arica, Chile remaining, which will close the 2021-2022 Women's Ranking.

Gale totaled 3543 points, followed by Tosh Talbot of Costa Rica with 3407 points in second place.


The Longboard category closed the Ranking today and the champion Tzahui Poo from Mexico totaled 2788 points, followed by Anthony Flores from Costa Rica with 2578 points.

The winners of this event were Francisco Bellorín in Open Men, Sol Aguirre in Open Women, the Panamanian Gale also won the event in Junior and Julian Schweizer from Uruguay won in Longboard.

The final date of the 2021-2022 Tour will take place on December 3 and 4 in Arica, Chile, in an event exclusively for women, which will define the final positions of the Ranking.
The 2022-2023 season kicks off in Mancora, Peru, on December 10 and 11, 2022, with a 2-Star event open to the Open Men, Open Women, Junior and Longboard categories.
