This edition will have great participants, as has usually been the case over the years in this type of world tournament.

In this article we will present seven interesting facts to consider before the Surf City El Salvador ISA World Junior Championship.
The Venue : The event will take place at La Bocana and El Sunzal, iconic surf spots in El Salvador. La Bocana was considered for many years a wave only for locals, while El Sunzal is defined as the epicenter where the first wave in this Central American country was surfed. These two world-class waves have rocky bottoms that could deliver some painful memories. La Bocana offers both right and left breaks (lefts considered to be of higher quality), while El Sunzal boasts long, right-hand waves. These waves have already hosted a world championship with Olympic implications and will be the venues for the best under-18 and under-16 surfers in 2022.
World Championship countries : A total of 45 countries are officially registered, including nations such as Brazil, the United States, Australia, and Hawaii, which have left nothing undone and are shaping future athletes for world championships in the open category.
Biosafety requirements: As of November 17, 2021, the General Directorate of Migration and Foreigners of El Salvador eliminated the entry requirements to the country related to the presentation of negative PCR tests and vaccination cards; however, it will be the responsibility of each participant to verify with their air or land transport, as well as with the countries in which they transit through, what requirements they must meet.
PCR test for return trip: If you require an antigen or PCR test to enter your destination, the Max Bloch Laboratory will be on-site from Friday, June 3 to Monday, June 6, from 8:00 a.m. – noon and 1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
PCR and antigen tests must be paid for in cash by each participant to the laboratory performing the tests. The test costs are:
| EXAM | PRICE |
| ANTIGEN | $22.50 |
| RT-PCR | $85.00 |
*Prices are in US dollars
Delegations that prefer to conduct the tests on days and times other than those mentioned above may visit any of the laboratories near the event venue.
Climate and culture: El Salvador is a Central American country known for the friendliness and warmth of its people. The climate and water are typical of a tropical country with two distinct seasons. For most of the year, the average temperature is 28°C, ranging between 25°C and 28°C. No special equipment is needed to enjoy El Salvador's incredible waves.
Tourism in El Salvador: El Salvador is a beautiful country, full of diverse destinations, where visitors can travel in a short period of time to different tourist sites, such as beaches, volcanoes, lakes, archaeological sites, cities, colonial towns, among others.
Popular Food and Currency: In El Salvador, you can eat practically anything; however, the local national dish is the "Pupusa," a corn or rice pastry filled with refried beans, pork rinds, and cheese. Tourists are advised to check the ingredients before ordering. It's also recommended to visit a pupuserÃa or restaurant that implements biosecurity measures. The US dollar and Bitcoin are the legal tender. It's advisable to exchange money at the airport, as other currencies are not accepted in stores within the country. Credit cards and cryptocurrency apps are accepted in most businesses. ATMs are available throughout the country, especially in shopping malls, gas stations, hotels, and other locations.

It is recommended to follow the information presented above to enjoy a pleasant and uncomplicated trip to the beautiful Central American country of El Salvador.
