Surfing Republica - Si nada cambia, Brisa Hennessy se medirá a Gilmore y a Nichols en su primer heat en el Tahiti Pro

Surfing Republica - If nothing changes, Brisa Hennessy will face Gilmore and Nichols in her first heat at the Tahiti Pro

The World Surf League announced the heat draw for the tenth and final stop of the CT regular season before the WSL Finals.

There are five days and a few hours left until the start of the Tahiti Pro, the tenth and final stop of the CT regular season, a stage that will be of vital importance to define the five female and male finalists who will compete in the World Surf League (WSL) finals in Lower Trestles, United States.

Our country has the option of being part of this historic event with Brisa Hennessy, who will play her last chance to qualify for the cut for the finals on the imposing wave of Teahupoʻo.

Currently, Brisa is in fifth position in the ranking with 40,285 points and must maintain this position or improve her ranking if she wants to race in Lowers in September.

For this tenth stop, the WSL has already announced how the opening round will take place, and the national team will face Australian rivals Stephanie Gilmore (top 4) and Isabella Nichols (top 9) in heat #1. Both competitors still have options to qualify and, like Hennessy, will have to try to do a great job on the Polynesian island.

The event is scheduled to begin on August 11th, however, it could be extended until the 21st of this month in search of the best conditions for the commitment.

This article details all the mathematical possibilities of how Brisa could qualify: https://www.surfingrepublica.com/blogs/news/surfing-republica-brisa-hennessy-en-las-wsl-finals-que-necesita-lograr-la-tica-en-tahiti
