Ticos will seek to consolidate their position at the top of the leaderboard in the following stops of the ALAS tour.

After putting on great performances so far this season on the ALAS Pro Tour, the new promises of Costa Rican surfing have shown that their hunger to seek the title at the end of the season is intact.
Currently, Costa Rica has two surfers in the top 5 of the men's ranking, we are talking about Óscar Urbina, who is in second place on the table with 4545 pts and Darshan Antequera who occupies fifth place with 3935 pts.
Both athletes possess a very high level and there is no doubt that in the coming days ALAS will be able to consolidate their positions or improve their rankings.
In the women's category, Costa Rican representative Rubiana Brownell secured first place in the rankings thanks to her performance in the last event in Puerto Rico. She now has a total of 3204 points, surpassing second-place Ecuadorian Dominic Barona, who has 2475 points. Leilani McGonagle is in the top six, however, she has only competed in one ALAS event in 2022.
According to the ALAS Pro Tour schedule, the next event will be the Gordo Barreda Cup in Punta Roquitas Miraflores, Peru, a 1-star event. The tour will then visit Linda - Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, Mexico for a 5-star event, followed by a 6-star event in Las Flores, El Salvador, and will conclude with two events: a women's event in Arica, Chile, and an open men's, women's, and junior event in Piura, Peru.
