Surfing Republica returns with night tournaments to Playa Hermosa this coming Friday

Athletes will seek to shine on a magical night of surfing, skateboarding and lots of joy.

After being absent due to the pandemic, night surfing will return to Playa Hermosa and will feature a calendar of three dates that will define the National Night Champion.

The first event of this season will be the 1-Star Surfing Night Festival, which will take place this coming Friday, February 24th, in front of the Vida Hermosa Restaurant. It will feature the best surfers in the country, who will compete for $800 in cash plus prizes from the sponsors.


Trials for the main event are expected to take place at 2:00 pm, and at 6:00 pm the night surfing will begin and will last until approximately 9:00 pm.



In addition to surfing, there will be a mini ramp for those who wish to skate, and at 9:00 pm there will be a best trick (skate) competition organized by the national skater Mulisha Murillo.

During the event there will be music by national DJs DJ G and DJ ENSO, as well as the band Mustang 65. Narration and commentary by Freddy Camacho and Marco Montero.
