The event will be a one-star competition for men and a two-star competition for women, awarding $7,000 in prizes and featuring the best surfers in Latin America.

The 2022 season of the Latin American ALAS tour will kick off in the waves of Costa Rica, and this date will be the start in the search for 1 male and 1 female spot that the Latin circuit will award for the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games, which will provide Olympic spots.

The tournament will commemorate the 20th anniversary of Tsunami Sushi and will feature a grand closing concert with Gondwana and Los Pericos, as well as the national group Mekatelyu and presentations by several renowned national DJs such as Selecta Herbalist, DJ Chris and DJ Richard.

The Costa Rica Alas Pro Tour will take place on July 15th and 16th in front of the Selina Jacó facilities and will be a 1-star male and 2-star female tournament, with a total of $7,000 in prizes.

The tournament itself will be enlivened by DJ Enso and will be attended by the best athletes from Latin America, and it is expected that the wave conditions for this date will be correct for an event of this magnitude.

The number of participants will be limited and will cost $100 per athlete; the first places in both categories will receive a prize of $1,000.
