Surfing Republica - Muñoz y Hennessy conocen sus rivales en la ronda de apertura para el Margaret River Pro 2023

Surfing Republica - Muñoz and Hennessy learn their rivals in the opening round for the Margaret River Pro 2023

“Cali” will face John John and Moniz, while Brisa will face Molly and Bronte at Margaret River for the opening round.

Costa Rican surfers Carlos Muñoz and Brisa Hennessy will have their last chance to try to place themselves among the surfers who will continue the second part of the CT tour after the mid-year cut made by the WSL.

The mid-year cut reduces the number of athletes on the tour for the next five dates and also grants a direct pass to the CT 2024 reclassification.

The Costa Ricans already know which surfers they will face in the opening round of the Margaret River Pro, and Muñoz in the seventh heat and Hennessy in the third, must advance to avoid the elimination round that would further strain their current situation.

Men's Opening Round:

Heat # 7

John John Florence (HAW)

Seth Moniz (HAW)

Carlos Muñoz (CRI)

Women's Opening Round:

Heat # 3

Molly Picklum (AUS)

Brisa Hennessy (CRI)

Bronte Macaulay (AUS)

This fifth CT stop will take place from April 20th to 30th and can be watched live on:
