Surfing Republica - McGonagle and Brownell take third place at Pismo Beach
Costa Rican representatives add important points to their rankings.
Leilani McGonagle and Rubiana Brownell - Athlete finished in third place at the SLO CAL Open in the QS 3,000 pts and Junior Pro categories, respectively.
Brownell also competed in the QS category, where he finished in 17th place.
Both competitors added to their rankings and are the best Costa Rican representatives in the North American region's qualifying series, Leilani in fourth place and Rubiana in eighteenth place. 
In addition, Rubiana is the third best athlete in the North American Junior Pro ranking.
