Surfing Republica - Leilani McGonagle will face Caroline Marks for a place in the quarterfinals of the US Open of Surfing



The Chilean player will be looking to advance to the quarterfinals of this important Challenger event and add valuable points to her ranking.

Local surfer Leilani McGonagle from Playa Pavones made it to the round of 16 competitors of the US Open of Surfing today.


McGonagle finished second in her heat and will now seek a place in the quarterfinals against American CT surfer Caroline Marks.


Both surfers have shown a high level and there is no doubt that this fourth round series of sixteen competitors will be full of intense emotions.

Leilani is coming off a win in her first heat at the event and then a runner-up finish, while Caroline has achieved two first-place finishes in her two previous heats at this event.

This event is very important for McGonagle in his aspirations to add valuable points to his ranking in search of a spot in the CT 2023.
