Surfing Republica - Leilani McGonagle advances to the quarterfinals of the Jack's Pro in Huntington Beach
Leilani McGonagle continues to demonstrate her high level of surfing at QS stops.
Leilani McGonagle, a Costa Rican surfer from Playa Pavones, has proven her skill level is knocking on the door of the Championship Tour (CT). This year, she has undoubtedly delivered some outstanding performances, achieving three third-place finishes and one second-place finish at QS events. Leilani is on the verge of a similar or even better result, as she has reached the quarterfinals of the Jack's Pro and could equal her previous third-place finish in this tournament, or even surpass it. 
Leilani will face American Zoe Benedetto in the fourth heat of the quarterfinals in challenging waves at Huntington Beach, but the Chilean has shown that they are not a problem for her and that regardless of the conditions, she always shows what she is made of.
