Life Miles presents the news of the day.
Summer welcomes Surfing Republic's sixth season with night tournaments and more.

Today marks the premiere of another season of the television program dedicated to extreme sports, we're talking about Surfing Republic.
A program that has revolutionized the perception of surfing thanks to national television, through the TD Más platform.
This sixth season will feature great surprises, and today at 6:30 pm, quality work and comprehensive material on various topics of current interest will be presented.
However, as if this were not enough, we would like to mention that with the summer, the night surf tournaments return to Playa Hermosa, and on December 14th, there will be night surfing again at the national surf stadium.
We share with you more details of all the activities coming up for this specialized project courtesy of its General Director of Surfing Republica, Mr. Marco Montero.
What does this season of Surfing Republica bring and how many months will the program run?
“ The program will run for ten months, starting today, Thursday, and concluding in August 2020, to take full advantage of the summer. This season we'll be focusing on more documentaries, series featuring athletes, and fewer competitions. In addition, there will be six night tournaments starting this December 14th at Bowies Point in Playa Hermosa, which will be more like a New Year's Eve party than the Awards.”

Will the program have episodes on other disciplines or will it be more focused on surfing this year?
"Correct will have more disciplines, for example, it's missing Kenneth Tencio's Olympic journey, where there are no episodes from the World Championships in Japan and France."

How will the night tournaments be distributed?
"The events will be held starting in December, with the first one taking place at Bowies Point, followed by events from January to May in front of the Tramonto Hotel. The evening events will feature the open category, while the afternoon events will include junior, women's, bodyboarding, and other categories. The evening events will be broadcast live on TD Más."
What will the competition format be for the night tournaments this season?
"There will be a limited number of 24 competitors, with heats of 4 competitors, culminating in a men's final. If there are more competitors, trials will be held before the event to determine a winner who will then participate in the main event. The tournaments will feature a variety of activities, and the hotel will be raffling off accommodations and giving away pizzas to attendees, concluding with a party on the resort's terrace."
What's next for Surfing Republica in the next part of the year?
“We're bringing you the Surf Expo, which will be held on June 26, 27, and 28 at Parque Viva. A large number of exhibitors from all kinds of brands will be selling and promoting their products. There will be competitions in skateboarding, BMX, balance boarding, rap, breakdancing, and many other disciplines. These competitions will be broadcast live on TD Más. In addition, the entertainment will include concerts, fashion shows, bikini runways, and parties throughout the event, culminating with an international artist performing and the final rounds of the competitions on Sunday.”
Will there be children's events next year like in previous years?
