National representation climbs to the podium in both tournaments and stands out in the waves of Hawaii beach and Middles beach .
In an action-packed weekend with both a Latin American festival in Guatemala and an ALAS Pro Tour date in Puerto Rico, the Costa Ricans were present in search of the top spots.
Emotions ran high in both tournaments, and the Costa Ricans' strong performances from the first day raised hopes for a possible grand finale in both competitions, which were parallel but independent of each other.

At Hawaii Beach in Guatemala, the Costa Rican team competed in the men's open, longboard, and bodyboard categories, where Anthony Flores and Lorgie Quesada secured second and first place respectively, bringing honor to these categories and to the national sport. However, these two athletes weren't the only ones to shine. The other Costa Rican athletes present at the event, while not reaching the podium, delivered impressive performances and contributed to the team's overall success.

Meanwhile, on the Island of Enchantment, a total of nine athletes represented Costa Rica in a major ALAS Pro Tour event, a five-star competition for men and a six-star competition for women. The men's team consisted of Tosh Talbot, Sam Reidy, Darshan Antequera, Swen Zaugg, Jairo Zuñiga, and Óscar Urbina. Urbina reached the final, finishing fourth in Middles Beach .

In the women's category, Costa Rica's representation would be in surfing by Indiana Ferri and Rubiana Brownell, both of whom demonstrated a high level throughout the event and reached the grand final, with Ferri finishing in fourth place and Brownell in second place in Puerto Rico.

Without a doubt, these results and performances inspire us to continue striving for excellence in Costa Rican surfing, and we hope that success will continue to be reaped.
