Costa Rica still has 10 of its 12 initial competitors with a chance at a world championship medal.

After a long and intense fifth day of competition, Costa Rica remains strong with ten of its twelve competitors who started the Surf City El Salvador ISA World Junior Surfing Championship 2022.

Today's action began and ended with Ethan Hollander, who advanced in first place in the first round of the repechage with a score of 11.10. In the afternoon, he competed again, once more advancing in first place, this time to the third round of the repechage. Also competing in the U16 boys' category was Romeo Stone, who advanced in second place in his heat to the third round of the repechage.

The under-18 youths Tosh Talbot, Jesús Pérez and Axel Castro also managed to advance to the third round of repechage, the latter advancing in first position and showed his added value by obtaining one of the most outstanding waves and scores of the event.

In the under 18 female category, the nationals Auxiela Ryan, Lia Díaz and Rachel Agüero, managed to advance to the third round of repechage.

However, our country saw two of its stars fall, who say goodbye to the eighteenth edition of the Junior World Games, we are talking about Rachel Agüero and Tamaya Murphrey who unfortunately did not manage to get past the second round of repechage.
