Surfing Republica - Carlos Muñoz will face the current #1 in the CT ranking
Brisa will face former ISA world champion, Australian Sally Fitzgibbons.
The World Surf League announced the men's brackets for the round of 32 competitors of this second CT stop at Sunset Beach.
Days ago, Brisa Hennessy found out who her rival would be for this event in the round of 16 competitors, which would be Sally Fitzgibbons, an experienced athlete, but one whom Brisa already defeated in the initial round.
Yesterday, the men's elimination round concluded on this second day of the WSL, and the matchups for the next phase of the competition were determined. Costa Rican Carlos Muñoz will face the current world number one, Australian Jack Robinson. This will be the second consecutive time Muñoz has faced the top-ranked athlete, having previously competed against Filipe Toledo at the 2023 Pipeline Pro.
Without a doubt, a great opportunity for "Cali" to demonstrate his best surfing in search of the round of 16 competitors on the waves of Sunset Beach.
