Surfing Republica - Brisa Hennessy enfrentará a Lakey Peterson en un heat que definirá la clasificación a las WSL Finals

Surfing Republica - Brisa Hennessy will face Lakey Peterson in a heat that will determine qualification for the WSL Finals

Three of the four surfers who threatened Brisa Hennessy's qualification for the WSL Finals lost, and the Costa Rican advanced to the quarterfinals.

Today the action continued at the tenth CT stop of the WSL and the elimination round was run in anticipation of defining the finalists for the event at Lowers Trestles.

Costa Rican Brisa Hennessy managed to advance her heat in the elimination round against Hawaiian Gabriela Bryan, a surfer who threatened the Costa Rican's qualification for the WSL final event.

Furthermore, both Isabella Nichols and Tyler Wright fell today, thus mathematically clearing the path for the national team.

The national team is now in the quarterfinals and with this has guaranteed at least a total of 45,030 points, however, in these stages she will face Lakey Peterson, the only competitor with a chance of taking the qualification away from the Costa Rican.

Brisa will face the American in the fourth heat of the quarterfinals and the winner will secure at least the fifth and last place for the World Surf League finals.

The schedule for the women's quarter-finals is subject to the decision of the organizers, as it will be determined in relation to the swell in Tahiti.
