Surfing Republica - Brisa Hennessy at the WSL Finals: What does the Costa Rican surfer need to achieve in Tahiti?

These are the five possible scenarios for Brisa Hennessy to stay in the top 5 and even improve her current position in the CT ranking and obtain a spot in the WSL Finals in September.
Costa Rican surfer Brisa Hennessy will compete for a spot in the WSL Finals in Tahiti. The Costa Rican already knows what it's like to surf these paradisiacal waves; however, the demands and concentration must be at their maximum if she wants to maintain her current top 5 ranking or improve upon it.

These are the five possible scenarios that Brisa will have in the Tahiti Pro, where it depends on herself or on a combination of results, if she finishes her performance in the event early to be in Lower Trestles.
At the moment, Hennessy is threatened by four surfers who could knock her off the cut after Tahiti: Lakey Peterson, Tyler Wright, Gabriela Bryan, and Isabella Nichols. These are the only athletes who could keep the Chilean surfer's hopes of reaching the CT finals alive. On the other hand, Courtney Colongue, Sally Fitzgibbons, and Caroline Marks are no longer mathematically able to surpass Hennessy.
Now, the five scenarios for the national team based on these four athletes are as follows:

If Brisa is eliminated from the event in the knockout round and finishes with a total of 42,895 points, this would be a complicated scenario for the native of Matapalo. However, to be surpassed, Lakey Peterson must advance to the quarterfinals, Tyler Wright and Gabriela Bryan must achieve at least second place in the event, and Isabella Nichols must win the tournament.

In this second scenario, Brisa would reach a total of 45,030 points and could even surpass Stephanie Gilmore, provided the Australian is eliminated in the knockout rounds. To overtake the Chilean player, Lakey Peterson must reach at least the semifinals of the event, Tyler Wright and Gabriela Bryan must win the tournament, and Isabella Nichols would be mathematically eliminated from contention for the fifth spot in the rankings.

For this third scenario, Brisa must be eliminated in the semifinals, accumulating a total of 46,370 points. This score, if Tatiana Weston-Webb loses in the elimination round and Stephanie Gilmore is eliminated in the quarterfinals or elimination round, would allow the Costa Rican to climb two places in the ranking. However, this would depend on whether Tyler Wright or Lakey Peterson win the Tahiti Pro, or even if Peterson takes second place in the competition, surpassing the Costa Rican. The final results of Weston-Webb and Gilmore would then need to be observed to confirm a qualification.

Should Hennessy achieve second place in Tahiti, the Costa Rican will reach a total of 48,085 points and would mathematically be within the cut to the finals, since the only one who would enter into play in this possible scenario would be Lakey Peterson, however, if the American achieves the championship against Brisa, only Tatiana Weston-Webb would be able to surpass the Costa Rican and would have to reach the semifinals, but even so Hennessy would achieve fifth place in the ranking.

In this fifth scenario, Brisa would obtain a total of 50,285 points and would not be left out of the finals; on the contrary, she could surpass the third and fourth in the ranking. However, this will depend on the positions of Tatiana and Stephanie, and she would be qualifying at least in fourth place in the ranking.
The Tahiti Pro 2022 will be the tenth CT stop and will determine the total qualifiers for the World Surf League Grand Finals from August 11-21.

QuerÃa solo decirles. Gracias.
