Surfing Republica - Brazil dominated in longboard and today the Pan American Open champions will be decided



Brazil will be the new Pan American champion, while Peru still needs to confirm second place, as Argentina still has a mathematical chance.

After five intense days of competition and a demonstration of good surfing by the countries of the American continent, the games will close today, however, the overall championship is already defined and Brazil will take the title.


Yesterday the Pan American longboard champions were decided and a dominance by the Brazilian team in the longboard added the necessary points for the first and second place for the green and yellow team in both the men's and women's categories, in addition to the ratification of the first place overall.

Jefson Silva and Chloé Calmon (for the second year in a row) achieved victory with excellent performances and without leaving any room for doubt, conquering the waves at Playa Venao.

The final results in the men's open category were:

Jefson Silva (BRA) - Gold
Rodrigo Sphaier (BRA) - Silver
Nacho Pignataro (URU) - Bronze
Julián Schweizer (URU) - Copper
