Costa Rica is on an important list of countries to visit in 2021, according to a travel magazine.

Our country has been highlighted among the best places to visit in 2021. Costa Rica tops a list of 35 countries in the renowned National Geographic Traveller magazine.

The description that identifies our territory as among "the best in the world" provides information for those travelers committed to caring for the environment and who enjoy natural wonders.

An important fact highlighted in the publication is that our country is on the verge of celebrating the Bicentennial of Independence, and the main desire is to be able to celebrate it by becoming the first carbon-neutral country in the world in the coming years.

“Tourism is a vehicle for the economic reactivation that the country urgently needs, and these publications confirm the work that has been done for years to position Costa Rica as a destination committed to sustainability. For all these reasons, it is vital to continue the hard work for the sector's recovery and for more travelers to continue enjoying our beauty,” stated the Minister of Tourism, Gustavo Segura.

“Imagine an adventure paradise where sustainability was a strategy long before the world caught up, where jaguars roam the jungle, majestic birds soar through the sky, and lizards walk on water before your eyes,” the publication says, referring to the Central American country.

The extensive 15-page report was released on the 29th of this month and refers to the months of January and February.
