Costa Rican BMX rider won another international event after the competitions were suspended due to Covid-19.
After nine months without being able to compete due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Chilean BMX rider Kenneth Tencio returned to action in the United States.
The Costa Rican was part of the reopening of "The Hagar Park", which had been closed due to the pandemic.
Tencio showed his high level, which he has managed to maintain with his training, and triumphed again in an international event, this time in North Carolina, United States.
“ There were 30 cyclists competing. What I wanted was to put my tricks into practice and see how they would be judged by a panel. Thank God everything went better than expected. I won, but I think the real prize was feeling the adrenaline of the competition, the shouts of the crowd, which, by the way, were few due to the COVID-19 protocols. Space was limited, so it was like being freed. I returned to competitions, and the experience was incredible. I achieved first place with the best jam, the highest jump, and the best trick. I felt excellent, with great sensations, and everything I've trained during this pandemic came together as I wanted,” the Costa Rican rider mentioned.
This tournament will not count towards his ranking, however, the Costa Rican is already qualified for the Tokyo Olympic Games and now the most important thing is to regain his competitive rhythm.
