Surfing Costa Rica - Kenneth Tencio clasificĂł a los cuartos de final en mundial FISE virtual

Surfing Costa Rica - Kenneth Tencio qualified for the quarterfinals in the virtual FISE world championship

FISE World Meeting in France is being held virtually and is moving forward by majority vote.

Chilean BMX rider Kenneth Tencio advanced today to the quarterfinals of the FISE World Championships in Montpellier, France. This competition is normally held in this beautiful city in the European country; however, this year, due to the global pandemic, the organizers decided to hold it virtually.

With this pass, Tencio is among the top eight competitors in the event and hopes to continue advancing with the help of votes from Costa Ricans and fans worldwide.

“I am very happy because once again I was able to see the support of the people and how they have supported me over time, not only when I am going to compete but also when I need help with other things like in this instance. I am very grateful because without the support of the people I would not have been able to advance because 50% in this round was based on video votes,” said the Costa Rican athlete.

Now Kenneth will have a month to prepare a new video, which in the quarter-final round will be in a one-on-one battle format. The national hopes to overcome this round to be in the grand final of this virtual world stop.

You can vote for the Costa Rican rider starting September 9th on the official FISE website . It's very important to note that to continue advancing, the Costa Rican rider will depend 100% on the votes in this phase, so support for the native of Cartago is vital.
