Paris announces its investment to enable surfing in the French capital during the 2024 Olympic Games.
With waves 300 meters long and the possibility of surfing for up to 26 seconds per wave, the macro-complex called La Vague Grand Paris will be created.
The intention is to have it ready before the 2024 Olympic Games and thus have an attractive surfing destination in the center of the country, since the official surfing events will be held in Teahupoo.
The investment for this modern project is no less than 250 million euros, a figure that could cause waves in the center of France.
The complex will also have space for skateboarding and various facilities for water sports, as well as restaurants, bars and other shops.
The company in charge of the mega-creation will be WhiteWater, the world's first artificial wave creator, and will apply the process called "Endless Surf," a new technology for wave creation.
