Costa Rican finishes in the top 5 of the Hawaiian Triple Crown of Digital Surfing.
In a CT season where women have carved out a space for themselves on the Hawaiian North Shore, it is spectacular and extremely beneficial that one of the most relevant surfers of her gender over so many years, such as Carissa Moore, has obtained the victory and thus made history.
However, the historical events do not end there, since this event alone is already worth keeping in our memories, for being the first with a digital format.
Our country also made its mark in the history books of the World Surf League (WSL), marking the first time a Costa Rican surfer has finished in the top five of a Hawaiian Triple Crown of Surfing, which virtually combined the votes of Halleiwa, Sunset and Pipeline.
Brisa scored a total of 97.9 points out of a possible 180, which were distributed as follows: Halleiwa accumulated 40.6 points out of a possible 60, while in Sunset the Costa Rican scored 38 points and the wave where she scored the least was Pipeline, accumulating a total of 19.3 points.
The national team member was only behind Carissa Moore, Tatiana Weston-Webb, Malia Manuel and Bronte Macaulay, having a better position than other established athletes in the field.

In the men's category, the winner was John John Florence, and with quite good scores, he continues to consolidate a very positive start to the season for the Hawaiian.
This event is taking place in a very special way in a year where new ideas and strategies to continue with competitive activities are the order of the day.
The virtual winners by beach were the following:
Halleiwa: Carissa Moore and John John Florence
Sunset: Bronte Macaulay and John John Florence
Pipeline: Moana Jones Wong and John John Florence
The public vote was won by Tatiana Weston-Webb in the female category and by Jack Robinson in the male category.
