Surfing Costa Rica - Two-time world surfing champion and her brother save swimmer from drowning in Hawaii
Mikey and Tyler Wright become heroes during their end-of-year vacation.
Brothers Mikey and Tyler Wright were relaxing at a resort on Ke Iki Beach, Hawaii, after their first CT competition of the new 2021 season.
Everything was proceeding normally on an island accustomed to such strong swells; however, a powerful wave swept a bather away.
Despite the young woman's attempt to fight against the strong waves, the currents prevented her from getting out on her own, and her cries for help alerted Tyler's younger brother, who is also a professional surfer, and without thinking twice, he jumped over the resort fence to rescue the swimmer. 
Mikey struggled to grab the young woman and prevent her from being dragged further, and in a battle against the foam and waves that were hitting them, the Wright brother protected the girl, with whom he fell more than once onto the rocks, until they managed to reach the shore, where Tyler and other people helped them get out completely. 
The Wright brothers' actions became another heroic act by a surfer who helped prevent a possible drowning, thus confirming once again the importance of knowledge in aquatic rescue for people.
