Bevu presents the news of the day.
Former World Champion tells us about his aspirations for the 2019 Pan American Surfing Games in Peru.

With his eyes on Tokyo 2020, this is how local surfer Noe Mar McGonagle from Playa Pavones will travel to the Lima 2019 Pan American Games.
Noe Mar travels to South American soil with the goal of securing the only ticket in the male category that the games will award.

McGonagle shared with Surfing Republic some details he has been working on, and here we share the interview.
What has been your preparation for Lima 2019?
Noe Mar: I've been preparing by running through the WQS dates and I feel fit and fully focused on this event.

Where do you think the key to success in Peru lies?
Noe Mar: I feel that the key will be confidence and a positive attitude towards the event, and of course, not making mistakes during the competition.

Have you ridden this wave before?
Noe Mar: I've competed once at this wave in Punta Rocas. Last year at the 2018 Pan American Games, which qualified me for this event. And in 2019, I've gone to train at the wave twice, during my WQS visits to Peru and Chile.

In general terms, what are your expectations for Lima 2019?
Noe Mar: I expect good rivals, fair officiating, and I hope that the visit to Peru doesn't take its toll on our health, since last year practically the entire team got sick.
