Lima 2019 is just around the corner and the national athletes have been preparing to give their best performance in the games.
One of the athletes who will have the honor of representing our country will be Anthony Flores, who in the Longboard category will seek to make Costa Rica proud.
In this interview, the man from Jacob tells us about his goals and his preparation for the Games.
What is your main goal at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games?
Anthony: My first goal is to reach the grand final. And thus win a medal for my beautiful Costa Rica.
How do you intend to achieve this goal?
Anthony: I will look to use all my experience in competitions in conjunction with the experience of coach Jim Hogan.
How do you see the local scene and the rivals?
Anthony: The wave is good, super technical as it tends to change a lot with the tide and weather conditions.
What do you consider to be one of the most difficult aspects of surfing in Peru?
Anthony: I consider that one of the most difficult aspects for me is adapting to the cold water.
