The 2020 Night Surf Championship will have to be suspended due to the COVID-19 situation in the country.

After three highly successful events, the Night Surf Championship is heating up the fight for the top spot.

For now, the top of the table is dominated by the local from Esterillos Oeste, Maykol Torres; however, the difference in points is small and his closest followers, Anderson Tascon and José Joaquín López, could overtake the national if he makes any mistakes in the next night races.

The number of athletes participating in each event continues to increase, but unfortunately we must wait to continue with this exciting and unique event, due to the situation the country is going through with the COVID-19 virus.

For Surfing Republica, the well-being of the athlete and the citizenry as a whole comes before anything else, and they will take the time necessary to overcome this health adversity.
