New Year's Eve with waves in the Central Pacific.

The end of the year is approaching, and we're sharing the wave forecast so you can enjoy the conditions in the Central Pacific of Costa Rica.

Small waves are expected in Jacó Beach this weekend, averaging between 1 and 2 feet, with a slight increase on Sunday. The period will be 7 seconds, with stronger winds expected on Sunday.


Jacó by the end of the year will have a growth in swell between 2 and 4 feet with an inconsistent period of 13 seconds that could reach up to 20 seconds, the wind speed is forecast to be no greater than 7 miles per hour.

For Playa Hermosa, the weekend forecast calls for small but steady waves approximately 2 feet in size, with a fast period mostly around 7 seconds and winds no greater than 5 miles per hour.

By the end of the year, "The National Surf Stadium" marks an increase in swell, with 2 to 4 feet being the norm, presenting waves with good shape and power due to a long period and a breeze no higher than 7 miles per hour.
