Mickey Thompson presents the news story of the day.

Jaír Pérez is the current president of a new association led by leaders of the Garabito community.

The idea originated with several community leaders to form an association that would support not only the athlete but also their personal development. This is how the Garabito Surf Sports Association (ADSG) was born.
This association has been contributing to the mental, psychological, educational, sports and other areas of support for young people in the canton of Garabito, areas that other associations do not take into account.
The president of the Garabito Surf Sports Association, Jair Perez, is the current National Champion and his cabinet includes names like Lisbeth Vindas, Walter Brenes, Selene Cubero, among other influential people from the canton.
“Our focus is on prioritizing children from low-income families. We are a non-profit organization, and all the aid raised will be used to provide children with what they need for sports and daily life. We will provide human support in areas such as physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, and we will instruct them.”
"With values where they can develop day by day with tools for their futures," Pérez said.
The organization will have monthly activities to support children and also surf clinics to promote the sport of surfing among new generations.
