Nacional remains solid at important QS stop in Brazil.

The one who a few years ago raised the first world title in history for our country, the eldest of the McGonagle brothers who has stood out for his remarkable way of connecting the waves with his backside.

The same man who once set a record as the youngest Costa Rican surfer in a world surfing competition is currently competing in one of the QS events that may be one of the most important for the local from Pavones in his entire career, due to the current situation the athlete is experiencing in search of a good result to maintain his hope of joining the Dream League.

Noe Mar is in Pernambuco, Brazil competing in the Oi Hang Loose Pro Contest, a QS 5,000 pt event of the World Surf League (WSL), where this morning he showed that he is destined for great things and once again advanced in first place in the series with a combination of 12.20 pts and thus join the fourth round of the competition.

“The wave is really good, a little difficult at low tide or ebb, but otherwise it's good. We hope it stays the same size and hopefully we can continue to advance in the event,” McGonagle mentioned.

The national player will now face Brazilian Thiago Camarao in the fourth round and Frenchman Maxime Huscenot in the seventh set.
