Bevu presents the news of the day.

Government and non-governmental entities encourage people not to use animals for cruel selfies.
In an initiative to protect the environment and raise awareness among the population about animal care, the "Stop Animal Selfies" campaign was born, which aims to eradicate the use of wild animals in inadequate conditions or in a state of cruelty.
The campaign is driven by the Ministry of Environment and Energy (Minae) and the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT), along with the support of World Animal Protection (WAP) and Humane Society International (HSI).
The campaign was born out of a study by World Animal Protection (WAP) in 2017, where Costa Rica ranked 7th among countries with the highest number of inappropriate selfies in wildlife.
#stopanimalselfies seeks to educate and raise awareness among both the national population and visitors, thereby placing the nation among the few countries to prohibit this practice.
