Costa Ricans continue to advance as a group in the Junior World Surfing Games.

On a fourth day filled with a series of emotions in both the main round and the repechage round, Costa Rica comes out ahead with only one team out of the World Cup.

The highlight for the Mexican team on Wednesday was the participation of Malakai Martínez, who, showing solid surfing, advanced to the fourth main round of the world championship and is now only three heats away from the grand final.

The other athlete in the main round until today was the Caribbean Cedric McCrackin, however, the national fell to the repechage round after facing an exciting heat with high-level athletes.

Today all the national athletes from the second round of repechage would also see action, with a fairly positive balance, where the only loss unfortunately would be Sebastian Mora.

The action continues tomorrow at the Huntington Beach pier, and the Costa Ricans will face the fifth day of the Junior World Surfing Championship with great optimism.
