San Marcos University presents the news of the day.
WSL is helping with the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic and is suspending all events at all levels until May.
A few days ago we reported on the cancellation of events announced by the World Surf League (WSL), today the entity announced the approximate date for the postponement of all events.
According to the organization, June could be the most suitable month to return to global action, based on expert studies.

Erik Logan, a member of the World Surf League (WSL), was in charge of conveying the message and mentioned the following:
“We are a truly global sport. Moving tours and events between countries is a challenge even under the best of circumstances. In the current situation, it is simply not possible, and it will not be in the future. As a league that organizes public gatherings, we are also extremely aware of our social responsibility to not allow and accelerate the spread of the virus. The love of surfing is the bond that holds our global community together. We want to share positivity during these anxious times by continuing to celebrate that bond and our shared passion for this sport, the ocean, our athletes, and each other.”
