Then in 2023, he reached the same stage as the previous year: the quarterfinals. This time, he faced American Nat Young, whom he defeated with a final score of 14.76 to Young's 9.33. This marked another stage completed, allowing him to advance to his first career semifinal at Sunset Beach. His opponent was Griffin Colapinto, whom he was unable to overcome, with the final score of the heat being 16.33 to Colapinto's 17.90. Jack finished his participation and secured third place in the event.

However, 2024 proved to be a reward for persistence and resilience after two previous defeats at the same event. This time, Jack reached the same stage as in 2023, the semifinals, where his fellow countryman Ryan Callinan awaited him, whom he also managed to defeat with a score of 16.10 to 13.10.

From there, the path was already unknown for Jack in this event and after overcoming the semi-final against Ryan Callinan (16.10 vs. 13.10) he still had to face one more heat in the final against the same opponent he failed to overcome in the quarter-finals of 2022: Kanoa Igarashi.
A highly explosive heat saw Jack Robinson showcase his talent in the best possible conditions at Sunset Beach, not only overcoming Igarashi but also achieving the highest score recorded by a surfer in a WSL event final in the last three years. The highest score in the entire event was 18.24, achieved by Ethan Ewing in the Round of 16 in 2022.
