LifeMiles presents the news of the day.
The Brazilian final added color to Pipeline.
With a month's notice and by surfing incredibly large waves in training for the Pipe Master, the new World Surfing Champion prepared to make a difference.
Italo Ferreira, from Baía Formosa, achieved what at first seemed like a difficult feat, with winning the race being his only way to secure the world title.
Ferreira took his measurements and, training hard on a wave that requires knowing how to approach it, the Brazilian managed to overcome his compatriot and fellow title contender Gabriel Medina in the final.

In the Olympic Games qualification section, the final qualifiers of the World Surf League (WSL) were determined, with John John Florence, Julian Wilson and Italo Ferreira securing their place at Tokyo 2020.
Meanwhile, world surfing legend Kelly Slater will not be at the Olympics due to CT criteria, after being overtaken by John John Florence in the WLS ranking.
Once again, our actions demonstrate that dedication, effort, and commitment can do more than talent alone.
