Marvin Pérez is being trained in Australia at the lifesaving camp.

In recognition of his great work as a Municipal Lifeguard of the canton and its actions by To improve public safety for tourists and local visitors on all Costa Rican beaches, Municipal Lifeguard Marvin Pérez Chen received an invitation from Australian Sports Lifesaving, the highest authority in aquatic rescue and lifesaving in Australia, to participate in a series of courses and talks that will be held at the Lifeguard Training Facilities , located in the city of Sydney, in categories that are exclusively linked to aquatic rescue issues.


During the days that Marvin was on the island, they put testing all his qualities, skills and physical condition as a lifeguard.

He was part of a select group of lifeguards chosen worldwide to receive this training , under the guidance and supervision of qualified facilitators, trainers and advisors from the Australian Lifesaving Service.

As one of the largest volunteer organizations in Australia, and as part of its commitment to sharing its knowledge , it conducts a series of training sessions for people from different parts of the world , in this case He was chosen to travel and receive this training, considering it one of the opportunities that any lifeguard in the world hopes for .


At the end of the training , he obtained three very important qualifications :

1. First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for practicing lifeguards. ( First Aid and CPR -Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation.)
2. Training and training course for trainers and coaches. ( Surf Life Saving , Train the Trainer Course . )
3. The Bronze Medal qualifies him as a Silver Patrolman . Each year, he must To demonstrate that one remains fit to maintain the ability to patrol the beach where one works . ( Surf Life Saving , Bronze Medallion . )

To obtain each of these qualifications, you have to work hard and prepare very well, since each module must be ... to be approved by theoretical and practical exams and in case of not passing them could be disqualified from continuing with the training process.
