Today our country faces a situation that affects us all; however, we could take this cessation of social activities from a different point of view.
We must accept the pandemic and see it as an opportunity to grow within ourselves and have the space to share with our loved ones as perhaps we have never had that opportunity before.

Human beings can operate from their biological, emotional, rational, or spiritual dimensions. Crises help us connect with our highest dimension, the spiritual, and help us find a deeper peace amidst truly difficult situations.

Where were you when the pandemic hit hardest?
I was in Florida, USA, competing in a QS event, and the plan was to go to several events, but we received the news that there wouldn't be any more tournaments. I had other competitions scheduled in Barbados, South Africa, and again in the United States, but it didn't work out.
How have you observed them dealing with the virus in the Caribbean?
Here, as on all beaches in the country, access is prohibited, there are few people in the streets, and we all know the danger of this and are willing to do everything necessary to prevent further infections.

How have you spent your time as a family?
At home, my sister went to study in the United States two years ago and recently returned, and it's really nice because we have a close-knit family and can enjoy spending time with each other. And personally, I've been able to dedicate more time to music, especially to the guitar, which is what I love most.
How have you managed to work out physically during this quarantine?
I have a personal trainer and his program is called "Fitness Life". We do it virtually and I've been training a lot from home to strengthen my body and heart, also working on the mental aspect since we know that mentality has a big influence on competition.

What message would you give to people in these times of crisis?
Each of us is going through a very difficult time, but even in these dark times, I believe the most important thing is to look for the light. We must try to see the positive side of all this and take advantage of the extra time we have, using it to spend with our families and to grow as individuals. And supporting each other is also very important right now.
