Carlos Muñoz es quinto en Azores y se mete de lleno en la clasificación al CT

Carlos Muñoz finishes fifth in the Azores and is now firmly in the CT qualification standings

Adrenaline Rush presents the news of the day.

The Costa Rican woke up in twelfth place in the World Tour qualifying ranking.

Costa Rican surfer Carlos Muñoz secured fifth place at the Azores Pro in Portugal.

With this result, the national obtains 2650 points for the personal qualifying ranking, making him jump two positions and thus putting him fully into the fight for a place in the World Tour (CT) in the twelfth position of the ranking.

Muñoz shone in the Azores, and this Portuguese island suits the local from Esterillos Oeste well, as it is not the first time that the national has achieved an important participation in this area of the Portuguese soil.

This year, "Cali" has achieved four strong results in the QS events: two fifth-place finishes, one second-place finish, and one ninth-place finish. Given this impressive record and the high level of play the Costa Rican is currently experiencing, we have reason to dream for a successful end to the season.

The next competition for the Costa Rican will begin in two days, when the EDP Pro Ericeira QS 10,000 pts stop kicks off, which will also be held on Portuguese soil. Noe Mar McGonagle is also attending the event and is considered an alternative entry into the competition.

For Muñoz, these dates in Portugal are of vital importance in his intentions to enter the World Tour, because they are the last high-scoring stops before entering the competitions on the Hawaiian island.
