Costa Rican surfer begins his participation with the best surfers in the world in search of a pass to the CT 2021.
The journey of national surfer Carlos Muñoz began in QS stops, with the mission of obtaining a place in the 2021 World Surf Tour. 
Muñoz started his first 2020 race in Australia and after overcoming an injury that kept him away from the first races of the year, he has started off on the right foot in Newcastle Beach. 
Carlos started the Surfest Newcastle Pro QS 5,000 pts seeded in the second round and facing rivals from New Zealand, Hawaii and Mexico, the national added 10.87 pts needed to leave the second position of the series. 
“Cali” will now face Cody Young (HAW) and two more second-round qualifiers in the third round.
