Costa Rican surfer will compete in CT event in the middle of the Lemoore desert, California.

Surfer Brisa Hennessy will become the first Costa Rican surfer to compete in a Tour of Champions (CT) event today, Friday, at Kelly Slater's and the WSL's artificial wave pool.

The national team continues the Tour dates after performing well at the World Surfing Games of the International Surfing Association in Japan.

Hennessy will have to adapt to this particular competition format of this eighth CT stop, where in the first round the Costa Rican will be able to take 4 waves (two lefts and two rights), of which her two best waves will count.

To qualify for the next round, Brisa must make a combination that is among the top 12 from the first phase of the event and thus continue with the commitment. In the second round, the Costa Rican will be able to take 6 waves (3 lefts and 3 rights), the best two scores will count.

If she manages to achieve a combination that places her among the top four in round 2, the native of Matapalo will compete in the final round with the same format as the previous round, thus defining the winner.
