After convincingly advancing through the first two rounds of the event, Costa Rican surfer Brisa Hennessy will compete in the third phase of the Sydney Surf Pro 2020.

The native of Matapalo in the South Pacific of Costa Rica remains solid at the top of the World Surf League (WSL) qualifying rankings.

Hennessy could confirm her QS position if she continues to advance in this first Challenger event, which awards 10,000 points to the winner.

The national team will play its third round series against Hawaiian Bethany Hamilton and American Sophie McCulloch.

In the men's division of the Sydney Surf Pro, Carlos Muñoz, from Esterillos Oeste, is a local, who hopes to advance in the event in the 23rd heat of the second round (already seeded position).
