Monster presents the news of the day.

The national athlete will compete against the best bodyboarders in the world.
Tomorrow, the first World Bodyboarding Championship will kick off in Arica, Peru, and a Costa Rican will be representing the national colors.
Yazdanny Castro, from Playa Quepos, will join the Lurín Pro, the first world date of the 2020 tour.
Castro is able to attend to this day thanks to the support of companies and people who have believed in the work and talent of the national.
“This tournament is undoubtedly very important for me, as it will define many things for the rest of the year and my career as a bodyboarder. As you know, opportunities are very few and far between, and I must make the most of them. Being part of this event makes me very happy. I remember about four or five years ago when attending a Tour event seemed almost impossible. Thank God, in 2018, the first opportunity arose, and this helped me to believe in myself, to know that it is possible; it just requires sponsorship. The following year was the same, and now, thank God, in 2020, I started the year at the first stop of the World Tour. That makes me very happy and motivates me for the rest of the year.”
The national also highlights that the event is attended by the best bodyboarders in the world and that the level of competition is extremely high.
“Each race is a challenge because the people who support you or other people might expect a great result, and that's understandable, but of course it's a bit hard to achieve that doing only one race a year. I'm just gaining experience, and there are other people who do six or seven races a year, and some don't understand that. However, I'm very positive. My year started better than I ever expected in my entire life competing in this discipline, so I'm very motivated, and may God's will be done.”
This world event will take place on the 17th, 18th and 19th of this month and will be attended by the best representatives of the discipline from around the world.
