The Nationals face round two of the event.
The second day of the Oi Hang Loose Pro Contest, a 6,000-point QS stop taking place in Pernambuco, Brazil, kicked off with good quality waves.
Yesterday, Tomas King, from Tamarindo, advanced through the first round of the competition and today he would compete against local surfers, including world champion Gabriel Medina. The Costa Rican surfer would finish in third place in the heat and unfortunately be eliminated from the event.

The other two nationals in the event, Carlos Muñoz and Noe Mar McGonagle, could see action today, with Muñoz's turn coming first, while McGonagle in series #16 is waiting to see if he will compete today because the competition was on hold for some time and could affect the day's schedule.
